The slag pot is to eliminate and reduce the residue and pores in the casting. When designing the casting system, the slag pot should be considered.

 

1) accommodate the cold metal liquid into the cavity and mixed with the gas, residue, eliminate the cold isolation, pores and slag of the casting;

 

2) Increase the local temperature of the mold to achieve the thermal balance of the mold;

 

3) Increase the strength of thin-wall castings to prevent deformation during demoulding;
