Testing method of large Gray Iron Slag Pot Castings

The process manufacturing of slag pot requires strong technical parameters, so the structure and shape of slag pot castings are inseparable from the setting of parameters.
 
(1) Line shortening rate. According to the casting structure of the slag pot, considering that the surface of the mold and core are made of chromite sodium silicate sand, the manual sand box is modeled, and the vertical pouring resistance is not large, so the same scale of 1.5% is selected in all directions.
 
(2) process correction. In order to ensure the machining accuracy and grinding requirements of the slag pot, the appropriate parameters are selected in different parts of the casting to ensure the internal quality and processing standards. Because the sodium silicate sand after hardening is selected, the draft angle is properly increased in order to facilitate the mold; in the T-shaped joint, in order to prevent cracks due to casting stress, the angle of the fillet is properly increased at the corner.
 
(3) negative number of typing. In order to prevent the slag pot from showing super-high when closing the box due to the uneven surface of the box, the negative parting number of 5mm is given at the parting surface of each sandbox.
