Where is the large-scale cast steel parts used?

How many large steel castings do you know and know? Do you know where to use it for large steel castings? Why can't we live without it? Steel castings are alloys with iron and carbon as the main elements. Cast steel is divided into cast carbon steel, cast low alloy steel and cast special steel.

Because cast carbon steel has high strength, plasticity, toughness and low cost, it is used in heavy machinery to manufacture parts under heavy load. It is generally forged large steel castings such as mill archway, forging machine body, hydraulic press base and press crossbeam, etc.; it is also used in railway vehicles with large force and impact resistant parts such as wheels.

Because the cast low alloy steel contains manganese, copper and other alloy elements, the large steel castings produced have greater impact toughness and improve the service life. For example, large steel castings for building materials, large gears and wheels for rotary kilns, vertical grinding plates, etc.; large steel castings for hydraulic engineering, such as hinges and hinge seats used in reservoirs, etc.

Finally, there is cast special steel, which has a wide variety and is smelted for special needs. It varies from type to type, usefulness and performance. It is used in tractor tracks, springs, crankshafts and medical instruments for making aircraft, and so on.

Large steel castings are widely used in construction, metallurgy, forging, hydraulic engineering and mines, while in our normal production and life, large steel castings produced by carbon steel and low alloy steel are generally used.
